Who runs this site
sherborne.taxi is run by Hounslow's Sherborne Taxi, a sole trader business rather than a limited company, working out of Sherborne, Dorset. The trader is Nick Hounslow, and the business address for anything you need to send by post is 30 Allingham Road, Yeovil, Somerset BA21 4SA.
You can reach us on 07976 439135, by email at contact@sherborne.taxi, or through the enquiry form. The site is built and hosted for us by Dalaric Ltd.
Using the site means accepting these terms. If you would rather not, please do not use it. Our privacy notice goes with them and explains what happens to anything you send us.
Quotes and bookings
Nothing on this site is a price. A price is what we give you by email or over the telephone, for the journey you have described to us, and it holds for that journey.
Sending the form is not a booking. You have a booking when we have replied and agreed it with you. There is one car and one driver, so a date is either free or it is not, and the sooner you ask the more likely it is free.
The journey itself is a separate matter from this website. It is covered by what we agree when you book, and by our licensing and insurance.
What is on the site
The words and the photographs are ours, and the pictures are of our own car and our own customers, used with their agreement. You are welcome to read them, print a page and keep it. You may not republish them, sell them or use them to advertise anything else.
We keep the site accurate as far as we reasonably can, but journey times, school arrangements and airport rules change. What is written here is a general description of what we do, not advice to act on without asking us.
Using it properly
The site and the form are for genuine enquiries. You must not:
- Use it for anything unlawful, or to defraud anyone
- Send us false details, or somebody else's details without their say so
- Send anything abusive, threatening or obscene
- Collect anything from the site automatically, or use it to send bulk messages
- Try to reach any part of the site, its server or its data that is not meant for you
- Knowingly send anything harmful, or deliberately put the site under load
Attacking a website is an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we would report it and hand over what we hold.
Links to other places
We link out to Facebook, Instagram and Google so that you can see our pictures and our reviews where they live. We do not control those sites and their own terms apply once you are there.
You are welcome to link to this site from your own, as long as you do it fairly and do not suggest we have endorsed or approved something we have not.
If something goes wrong
We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of faults. It is provided as it is, and we may change or withdraw any of it.
We are not liable for any loss caused by relying on this site rather than asking us. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and none of it affects your rights as a consumer.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your own courts.
Changes
These terms were written on 23 September 2026 for the rebuilt site. If they change, the date changes with them.
